GoPro Hero 4 Silver - A Compact Stylish Case that will protect your Extremely Expensive Action Camera
The Smatree SmaCase G75 travel and carry case is perfect for carrying your most needed accessories with your GoPro action camera. I have the GoPro Hero 4 Silver and preferred to have a smaller option, because compact design and convenience are major selling points for me. There is a sponge insert cut out designed for the GoPro hero cameras. However, this insert can be removed if you opt to put more items in the case. It’s a nice touch that it has product catalogue inside the case as well. I noticed that with a lot of non-OEM products sold for GoPro, the flaw is the fact that product details are not included with every item. I understand that nowadays, YouTube will pretty much explain everything and all the uses for every particular item you can think of. But it’s very comforting to know that everything that comes with the product and its necessary functionality is all included. Now it won’t take a scientist to figure out how to use the item, but making everything simpler for the customer is an element that not many companies focus on. However, my experience with Smatree’s products and as you can tell by their stellar ratings, Smatree intends to provide the customer with the best product with little or no product questions.
Now onto the product itself, it is a very sturdy case and its clam shell hard exterior offers reassurance that if you drop your GoPro, it will be able to survive as if it was untouched. On one side of the case’s interior, there is a storage pocket for cables and accessories, so in case you need a usb cable or even want to carry an external battery charger (mini), this may provide to be helpful because of the GoPro’s flawed battery life. Speaking of that, I also have Smatree’s 1290mAh batteries for the GoPro, and they offer the same battery life usage as the OEM model, if not more (since the OEM model is only 1160 mAh. The sponge insert contains an area for the LCD, remote or the battery pack and also an area for the wifi remote controller. Also, it supports the action cam housing, so that you don’t have to take the GoPro in and out constantly. So once you take it out of the case, you’ll be ready to go. The caribiner loop is also a nice inclusion because that can be easily attached to your belt or large bag, so that you won’t be afraid of losing your expensive piece of equipment (the GoPro). If you were to remove the insert, you could probably fit a mini tripod or other smaller accessories. The quality of the mesh pocket seems to be of very high quality. Appearance and delivery of a product goes a long way, and the fact that Smatree uses a recyclable box is an environmental friendly plus. So if you decide to go the pre-foam cut insert route where everything is securely placed, or even if you were to take out the foam insert, you can feel rest assured that the case will protect everything inside.
*Updated Review SmaCase G260sl Carrying Case*
The SmaCase G260sl carrying case is a perfect complement for your GoPro Hero 4 Silver. Every portion of the case from its exterior to its interior is carefully designed, so that it helps to protect your GoPro equipment, while providing an easy way to transport the accessories and the action camera around on your adventures.
The interior has a zipper design, so that you can easily keep certain accessories such as an extension pole without having it fall out and topple onto your other equipment. The mesh pocket really is great for including cables, power banks etc. (so that you can recharge your batteries). The foam cutouts are situated, so that you can placed multiple GoPro cameras as well as mounts and spare batteries. However, removing it will open up more spacious placement for other accessories (extension poles, floaty pole, sponge, wireless remote, mounts, wrench, etc.) that you may want to bring along. The high quality EVA foam provides greater durability for its compartments.
The exterior hard shell case ensures that your equipment is waterproof against harsh weather conditions as well as providing a shockproof layer, so that if you drop it abruptly, your action camera will remain intact. There is a hand strap that makes it easy to carry around or you can use the included carabiner clip to easily attach to your backpack.
This carrying case aside from its stylish red accents to add to its trendy sophisticated design, it is able to fit an abundance of different adventure accessories to fit your needs. Overall, this is well worth the investment to protect your $400 action camera from damage and to have an easy way to keep everything tidily organized when bringing it to one place to the other. I think that this falls in the small to medium sized carrying case, which is perfect for the GoPro. You want to stick with the nature of the GoPro, of serving as a compact action camera. This encourages you to bring your most necessary components, which should easily fit within this spacious case.
