Wish I would have looked closer at the picture; the foam is pre-cut in certain shapes and sizes

The case seems well constructed. A stiff, nylon fabric covered outer shell, and a nicely cut foam divider. Overall a great case but (initially) I didn't receive case that is shown in the pictures!

The photo on Amazon shows a zippered inner compartment built into the lid, however the case I received has an open pocket there. This zippered compartment feature is why I chose the Smatree over the similar, but more expensive POV Case XS GoPro-Edition 3.0 Black. I want the small items to stay put!

UPDATE: The seller sent an email, asking if I was satisfied with their product. I replied, explaining the discrepancy between the photo and the case I received. They sent the correct one (with zippered pocket), free of charge! I didn't even have to return the other case. So now I have two. :-)

Keep in mind the two larger cutouts in the foam divider appear to be meant for optional accessories like the LCD back, Battery BakPak, or WiFi remote. If you have these accessories, it will be perfect for you. I would have preferred a place to put that awkwardly shaped 3-Way Pivot Arm that comes with the camera. It doesn't fit well in the un-zippered pocket, or in the foam. I had to take the arm apart to get it into the case. I might try cutting the foam to have a larger space since I currently don't own the accessories those slots seem to be designed for.

UPDATE: After using the new case, I've decided it's not that big of a deal to take apart the 3-Way Pivot Arm to make it fit into the zipper compartment. I'm very happy with the product and the service.

Terrific quality for this price.

I was very pleasantly surprised with the quality of this case at this price. The zipper is smooth, the foam insert is well thought out, and it appears to be very solidly stitched. As another reviewer mentioned, it holds the essentials for a day out with the camera really well in a compact package. Very pleased.

AWESOME PRODUCT, VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER

This product by SMATREE is freakin awesome. This product is exactly what I was looking for. Its estically nice looking, it offers great outdoor protection, its mainly enough atleast for me where it doesnt look like a purse like product or a cheesy looking case with cheesy colors or patterns. The inside has this amazing foam material that is put together like puzzle pieces , the beauty of this is that you can create your own masterpiece inside of the case by rearranging the foam pieces to your liking. The product was affordable, the shipping was about 4 days , not bad at all. Its totally worth the money, its a great way to protect your investment, very very happy customer and look forward to buying more of the SMATREE PRODUCTS. :-)

Good quality foam and Good fit.
I'm able to fit this inside my main DSLR bag.
Just as it shows, Hero3 w/Case+Quick mount and screw + 2 Batts + my LCD back and my remote.
On top USB cable, Remote cable + a small misc bag with and extra Card and lens cover.

Good value and protection.
