Short lived batteries

The batteries died only after a couple weeks of using it. I really really really wanted to love this product.

Garbage

The charger that I received is a poorly made piece of garbage. It broke before it was used 5 times. I would recommend staying as far away from this junk as you can.

Great value. Everything piece is well made. Definitely recommend

Better than Wasabi.

Unlike the 2 reviewers before me who got it for free, I had to pay for mine :-( Nevertheless, her is my unbiased review:
The batteries are slightly thicker that the original ones from GoPro (must be the the due to the extra 40mAh). This makes the fitting in the charger and camera very snug. Removing it from the camera can be a challenge if the tab is broken so beware and go easy on the plastic tab. Somehow the batteries do not sit squarely in the supplied charger and seems to lean to one side, this poses a problem as it may not make contact with the terminals for a proper charge. One needs to be concious and press it down to ensure that the terminals meet and the light turns red. Battery life seems to last slightly longer than the original which is expected due to the 40mAh. Overall a good product and no regrets choosing this over the 1160 mAh Wasabi one.

Now can I have my free battery please?? :-)

Quality product for Hero 4 Silver users

Note: Reviews for this product at a cost of $19.99 are being lumped with reviews for this product at $29.99. I received review samples of each. The difference is that for ten more dollars you get a wall charger with AC and International plugs as well as a DC car charger in addition to the mini USB charging cable that comes with the $19.99 product.

1. Over the past year I've used Smatree batteries and a dual charger for my GoPro Hero 3 Silver with great success, so I was delighted that the company is now making batteries and a triple charger that I can use with my Hero 4 Silver.

2. These batteries work perfectly in my Hero 4 Silver and the triple charger is nice and compact for travel--2 7/16" x 1 3/4" x 1 1/8". The LED lights on the charger turn red during charging and green after charging is completed.

3. The batteries have plenty of power. I put my Hero 4 Silver into Video+Photo mode, turned it on, left the Touch Screen on the entire time, and waited to see how long a freshly charged battery would last before the camera shut down. Guess what--it lasted 2 hrs 10 min.

4. This comes with everything you need to keep your batteries charged wherever you are: a mini USB cable (though any mini USB cable will work), a DC car charger, and a wall charger with both AC and International plugs.

5. The components are well made and the same quality as OEM GoPro products--except you pay a fraction of the cost. A single GoPro battery currently goes for $19.99--so for another ten dollars spent buying this product you get a lot for your money.

Bottom line: This is very useful for any Hero 4 user.

Half Good

Ordered a set of 2 batteries. One charges and operates the GoPro well and the other doesn't work at all. Seems to charge but cannot turn the GoPro on when that battery is installed. Disappointing!
